Starting off with bitcoins

If you're like me, you've seen what is happening with the price of bitcoins, and wondered how to get into it, but without spending money. Money you don't have.

To be honest, after a bit of research, there is no quick way to do it. No matter what you read, it wont happen overnight. But with patience and time, you can get started.. and once you have even 0.01 bitcoins, the speed at which you can earn more increases a lot.

So how and where did I start ?

Well, the first thing for me is to get a wallet. A bitcoin wallet is where your bitcoins are stored. https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/ is a good place to start. This is where eventually you can transfer your bitcoins too and then sell for standard currency.

Once that is set up.. I found some places where you can build up bitcoins by simply just having your browser open. The first one also gives you a wallet and after a while earns interest. And as well as the ongoing bitcoin from the open browser, it also gives you hourly free bitcoin, and a lottery and more.

FREEBITCOIN

So go to FreeBitcoin and sign up. You'll see a few tabs. The "Free BTC" tab at the bottom is where you can earn free btc every hour. There is a nice countdown timer.

click on profile and take note of your User ID, and take note of the bitcoin address under "Change withdrawal address". This is a second wallet you have, but it is stored within freebitcoin account. The reason for this is the interest you can earn. So as we add more programs, we'll pay the bitcoin into here.

Now, for the mining page. Go to https://mining.freebitco.in/mining.html?userid=xxxxxx where, xxxxx is your User ID. This will build up more btc, just by leaving the browser open. Dont forget to click "Start Mining" at the bottom. And dont worry about seeing "0.00000000 BTC" for total mining income, that is by design so anyone else doesnt see what you are earning. If you keep checking the total on the free btc page in the top right hand corner, you will see that it does go up.

Ok, now that's up and running.. now what... I'll add what i did next shortly.
